Governor Signs Economic Development Act

Governor Wes Moore signed the DECADE Act into place Tuesday. DECADE stands for Delivering Economic Competitiveness and Advancing Development Efforts. Governor Moore says the act doubles down on Maryland’s lighthouse industries such as information technology, life sciences, and aerospace and defense by revitalizing the rise zone program and extends the research and development tax credit…
“It extends the job creation tax credit to 2032. It modernizes our economic development tools. As I have said, we are going to be unapologetically pro-business and unapologetically pro-growth in this state. I want businesses to expand in Maryland. I want them to relocate to Maryland. I want them to start in Maryland, and I want them to stay in Maryland.”
