Greene Street Theft and CDS Arrest

Chris Myers

Chris Myers is the Morning Show Producer, Broadcaster, at WCBC Radio in Cumberland, Maryland. Myers handles various operational, engineering duties for the station and directs the morning news. In addition to his broadcasting role, Myers is a prominent downtown Cumberland businessman and an active community member who helps organize local events. Myers has been with the Cumberland Broadcasting Company, which operates WCBC, since August 2019 and began his career in radio broadcasting at the age of 14 as a board engineer for WQOL in Florida. In 1998 he was promoted to Chief Engineer for WTTB 1490AM and WGYL 93.7FM. In 2001 Treasure Coast broadcasters purchased additional stations WOSN, WPAW and WGNX.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at approximately 8:37 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 600 block of Greene Street for a shoplifting complaint. Officers located the suspect, Eric Savelli, in the 200 block of Greene Street and detained him for further investigation. An officer contacted the staff who reported that Savelli stole property and left the store. The officer was able to confirm that Savelli was the suspect and he was placed under arrest. Savelli was found to be in possession of the stolen property as well as a suspected controlled dangerous substance. He was later issued criminal citations and released pending trial.
