Greene Street Theft Arrest

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were on routine patrol in the area of Greene Street when they observed a male appear to be under the influence of an unknown substance. While observing the male, he entered a business in the 200 Block of Greene Street and collected several items. The male then entered the restroom for an extended period of time before exiting without the items. After walking past all points of sale, the male was stopped and detained. A search of his person yielded numerous food and convenience items. The male was identified as Patrick Martin and was then placed under arrest for the theft. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released on a criminal citation pending his trial.

ARRESTED: Patrick Fitzgerald Martin Jr., 30, Mount Savage, MD.
CHARGE: Theft Less Than $100.
