Henderson Avenue CDS Arrest

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were conducting routine traffic patrol in the area of Henderson Avenue when a traffic violation was observed. A traffic stop was conducted, and based on the Officer’s observations, a K9 was requested to the scene. A free air sniff was conducted, which resulted in an alert. A search of the occupants and the vehicle was conducted, which yielded controlled dangerous substances and associated paraphernalia. As a result, Leon Britton and Marteas Brown were placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for their initial appearances. Britton was held on a $10,000 bond, and Brown was held without bond.
