IBM Workforce Story Clarification

WCBC News has received further information about workforce changes at the IBM facility in Rocket Center. Originally reported as a loss of 100 jobs, less than 30 temporary jobs will be ending with the close of a specific contract. The majority of affected employees have been shifted to other contracts at the facility. Adam Pratt, Director of Communications for IBM spoke with WCBC, saying IBM at Rocket Center is hiring for open positions…

“We have a number of roles across a range of positions and we’re always actively encouraging members of the community, including these colleagues whose temporary positions have come to an end, to learn more about those positions and if they see a spot where their skills and experience align with the needs that we have in these positions, to apply.”
