Industrial Blvd Disturbance Arrest

On Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 300 block of W. Industrial Blvd for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted two subjects and separated them. Officers then observed that the subjects had set up an encampment outside of the abandoned business there and had disposed of a large amount of refuse nearby. As a result, Joshua Gene Day, 35, and Abree Danicka-Nickol Braithwaite, 32, both of Cumberland MD, were issued citations for setting up bedding outdoors and littering. After being served, the subjects were released, pending trial in District Court.
