Jellyfish Stings Up In Ocean City

If you’re headed to Ocean City, Maryland soon, make sure your kids know the difference between a Jellycat and a jellyfish. The number of jellyfish stings in the ocean off Maryland’s shore has shot up this summer after what officials are calling perfect conditions for the creatures to multiply. Warmer than normal water temperatures and high salt levels have caused an uptick in the population. If you do get stung, use fresh seawater mixed with baking soda to pour on the sting.
