Lockhouse Open For Overnight Stays

A newly renovated lockhouse along the C&O Canal is now available for overnight stays. Located at Mile Marker 8.4, the lockhouse, which was built in the 1830s, becomes the eighth such building renovated along the canal. Lockhouse 8 is near the communities of Bethesda and Glen Echo. The lockhouse will hold up to eight guests and has electricity and heat but no indoor plumbing. Those wishing to reserve the property may visit canaltrust.org.
