Marion Street Assault Arrest

On Thursday, January 22, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a residence on Marion Street for the report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers found multiple persons inside the residence with injuries consistent with an assault. The suspect, Kash’E Edwards, was located upstairs and was intoxicated. Based upon the investigation, Edwards was placed under arrest. Edwards did resist the lawful arrest, and upon arriving at the Allegany County Detention Center, she did assault the Officers by spitting on them. She remains detained until her initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
