Maryland Avenue Resisting Arrest

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Maryland Avenue for a violation of a court order. Upon arrival officers learned the complainant has an active protective order barring Charlena Rodriguez from the residence. Officers observed Rodriguez on the property and she began to flee. After a brief pursuit, Rodriguez was placed under arrest. Rodriguez was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Rodriguez received a hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was held without bond.
