Jim Zamagias

A new study out by Doxo, a bill pay company, shows that Maryland is the 6th most expensive state when it comes to cost-of-living expenses.  In particular, household bills including utilities are 21% higher than the U.S. median.  Maryland residents pay an average of $2,558 monthly across 13 of the most common bills versus a national median of $2,100. How residents pay bills is also telling – 79% use debit cards or automated payment, while 20% are opting to pay their bills with credit cards.
