The Maryland Senate Budget and Taxation Committee has finished its review of the state’s budget for Fiscal Year 2027.  The $70 billion dollar budget does not include any increases in taxes or fees, and a modest 1.5% increase for state employees that is below the rate of inflation.  The budget will go to the Senate floor early this week for a vote, and then head off to the House for consideration.
