“The Justice Department cited President Trump’s promise that those in the U.S. illegally will not get preferential treatment over Americans. Maryland allows eligible, undocumented kids who graduate from its high schools to get the in-state tuition rate. Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward said Maryland is violating federal law and subsidizing education for non-citizens.”
