MD Income Taxes for Retirees Better Than WV?

Joe Mullenax from Allegany Business Consulting was a recent guest on the Dave Norman Show talking about income taxes in the tristate area.  Mullenax highlighted that retirees in Maryland could see better income taxes than the neighboring state of West Virginia as long as the annual income stays beneath a certain threshold…

“Maryland, as far as income taxes for retirees, is a good state if you make less than $150,000.  With less than $150,000, you’re getting credits and deductions that keep Maryland’s taxes pretty low.  In fact, in most cases, they are lower than West Virginia.”
