Medical Marijuana Reclassified

Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche has signed an order reclassifying state-licensed medical marijuana as a less dangerous substance. Fox’s Rich Edson reports…

“Schedule one includes drugs considered to have no medical use and a high potential for abuse. In moving marijuana to Schedule 3, the administration has legitimized state medical marijuana programs. Marijuana companies like TruLeaf have lobbied the Trump administration to reschedule the drug and study and expand its use to treat issues like Parkinson’s, stomach issues, and insomnia. The rescheduling also allows marijuana businesses to claim federal tax deductions.”
