Moore Announces Help For Howard University Freshmen

Governor Wes Moore announced Thursday that Maryland will provide expedited admissions assistance and an $800 credit to students affected by Howard University’s recent disenrollment of incoming students. The effort is aimed at helping impacted students continue their education at participating University System of Maryland institutions this fall. IN mid-July, Howard University stripped over 500 incoming freshman of their housing and enrollment due to missed deadlines for payments to the university. After investigation, the university did re-enroll about 200 students.
