Moore Proposes record Investment in Maryland Public Schools
Governor Moore Proposes record Investment in Maryland Public Schools Wes Moore announced a historic $10.2 billion investment in Maryland’s K-12 education as part of his Fiscal year 2027 budget proposal, a $373.8 million increase from FY26 and an overall 17% increase in K-12 funding since Moore has been in office. Funds will focus on four specific pillars, but Maryland Senate Republicans are already questioning where the money will be coming from beyond what is already required for the Blueprint For Education plan.
