Morrisey Bidding For Space Academy

West Virginia is officially submitting to compete for the location of the United States Space Academy. NASA is seeking a location capable of welcoming an inaugural class of 300 students in 2028 and eventually expand to 4,000 students. Morrisey said nearly every higher education in the state has joined the effort, creating a network to support the academy’s curriculum…

“We’ve been embracing technology. You see it in the legislation that was passed that’s spurring a lot of private sector investment. I think if you’re going to be a state that’s hosting the Space Academy, you want to demonstrate that you’re going to be strong in all the components necessary for the space industry to succeed.”
