Governor Patrick Morrisey is crossing the state of West Virginia to get support from residents for his proposed 10% tax cut. In Beckley earlier this week, the governor encouraged getting in touch with lawmakers to make sure they pass the tax cut before the end of the legislative session.  Morrisey said nothing will do more to address affordability for West Virginians than reducing the income tax burden…

“Let them know that the across the board income tax cut – that we can’t leave town without it. Every day, West Virginians are still hurting. But there’s a pathway for our future. Getting better paying jobs for our citizens. Part of this is insuring that our kids have hope and opportunity for the future. And that’s because we’re much more competitive with the other states than we’ve been.”
