Morrisey Encourages Public To Push Tax Cut

Kathy Cornwell

Governor Patrick Morrisey is on the road promoting his proposed 10% across-the-board income tax cut for West Virginians. At an appearance in Bridgeport, Morrisey says he has done the “heavy lifting,” putting the tax cut request in his 2027 budget. With it being an election year, Morrisey is asking residents to encourage their representatives to approve the request…

“If you support an income tax cut, respectfully but firmly ask your legislators to show that support. The people need to reach out to their representatives and let them know. Respectfully, polite-fully, but firmly. West Virginia deserves a 10% across the board income tax cut.”
