New Group Helping Children Get Better Sleep

It’s estimated that about 4% of the population in Allegany, Mineral, and surrounding areas have children who do not have a proper bed to sleep in. A new West Virginia Potomac Highlands chapter of the non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace is out to change that. Josh Morgart is the local chapter president and he says the group builds beds and provides bedding to area children in need…

“The goal of Sleep in Heavenly Peace – their slogan is no child sleeps on the floor in our town. That’s something that I wanted to adopt and make sure that not just in our town but in the surrounding towns that we could do. I’ve just seen the impact and the need. I mean, we only put it out for a couple weeks and we had 30 applications.”
