New Laws Help MD Caregivers Access Resources

Maryland lawmakers passed a number of bills aimed at supporting primary caregivers. House Bill 1434 orders the Maryland Department of Health to create a centralized webpage providing resources for caregivers of children with disabilities, aging adults, and individuals with behavioral health needs. “Sometimes, there’s such a plethora of information in so many places, it can be hard to navigate. And so the aim with this bill is really to streamline and have a starting place for family caregivers to go.”
