Numerous Violations Resulted in the Issuance of Criminal and Civil Citations

On Wednesday, April 8th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department Community Policing Unit conducted increased patrols in the area of the Western Maryland Scenic Railway and surrounding areas. As a result of the patrols, numerous violations were observed that resulted in the issuance of Criminal and Civil Citations. For each offense, the subjects were issued their respective citation and released, pending trial in District Court.
