Opening Dates for Schools Set

Local schools have set the dates for the opening of classes for the fall term.  Allegany County Schools will open on August 25, with Hampshire County on August 20, Mineral County on August 21, and Garrett County August 31.  Bishop Walsh School begins classes on August 31, with Lighthouse on August 26 and Messiah on September 8.  For local colleges, Allegany College of Maryland opens August 17, Potomac State College on August 18, and Frostburg State University on August 24.
