Paca Kentucky Ave Assault Arrest

On Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Paca Kentucky Ave regarding a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted two victims inside the home who advised they had been assaulted by a family member over an argument regarding dirty dishes. Officers then spoke with the suspect who advised they had assaulted the subjects after the argument. As a result, Steven William McDonald, 33, of Cumberland MD, was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, held without bond.
