Proof Of No Cooperation Needed For Funding

Kathy Cornwell

Sheriffs and other law enforcement across Maryland are angry over a budget amendment that ties funding for police to providing proof they are not cooperating with immigrations enforcement. The amendment passed the Senate and will now be considered by the House. Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler of Harford County says the move makes no sense and threatens public safety…

“It’s why the citizens voted to secure the border and keep our communities safe. And yet, Annapolis wants to hear the opposite message of that. We want to attack the police, we want to hurt the community because we want to support criminal illegal immigration – it’s insanity.”
