Public Assistance Requested in Ongoing Stolen Vehicle Investigation

The Cumberland Police Department, in collaboration with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I), is still actively investigating the theft of two motor vehicles that occurred on August 4, 2026. We are seeking the community’s help, as the public’s assistance is critical to resolving this open case. Investigators know the stolen vehicles were traveling on Interstate 68 when they were stolen. We are asking residents and commuters to recall any sightings or report any suspicious activity related to these vehicles.
