Queen City Drive Assault and Threat of Mass Violence Arrest

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at approximately 9:32 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for an attempted stabbing. Police arrived in the area and located the suspect, Drezdin Delgado. Delgado was detained until further investigation was conducted. Police contacted the business staff and learned that Delgado had attempted to shoplift from the store. When confronted by the staff, he began causing a disturbance and attempted to assault an employee. Delgado was arrested and transported to police headquarters. During the arrest process, another complaint against Delgado was received by police. It was reported that earlier, Delgado had been inside of a government building on Frederick Street and threatened to kill the employees. Delgado was charged accordingly and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
