Queen City Drive Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Endangerment Arrest
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at approximately 9:17 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Queen City Drive for an assault. Police contacted the staff who reported that a male subject, later identified as Travis Shaffer, had been refusing to leave the store and began causing a disturbance. The employee explained that Shaffer pulled out a knife and extended the blade towards her. Shaffer then left the area once police were called. Officers later located Shaffer in the Greene Street area and placed him under arrest. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
