The Union Rescue Mission’s fifth annual Hike for the Homeless takes place at Rocky Gap State Park on Saturday, September 26th.  What started as a way to get out of the house in the early years of COVID-19 has become an annual fundraiser for the mission.  Pastor David Ziler tells WCBC News that interested individuals can register for the hike all the way up to 9am Saturday…

“There’s a mile hike, a two-mile hike and then there’s also the five mile hike all the way around the loop.  We provide a picnic style lunch and refreshments after the hike.  We get to kind of have some fellowship and hear some testimonies from people who are using our program and what the money goes to benefit.”
