A report shows some Maryland state workers are considering a job move due to low pay.  The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 3 surveyed roughly 10% of the 25,000 state employees it represents.  Nearly 80% of them have considered leaving state jobs, while more than 60% say they have multiple jobs.  The president of AFSCME 539, Jenny Reese, says she frequently sees members piecing together a living income…

“They’re working overtime, double shifts, and working a second job at the same time. Everything you pay more and get less, and the compensation that we receive as state employees isn’t equitable in these times.”
