Republican Dan Cox seeks rematch against Gov. Wes Moore in gubernatorial race

Chris Myers is the Morning Show Producer, Broadcaster, at WCBC Radio in Cumberland, Maryland. Myers handles various operational, engineering duties for the station and directs the morning news. In addition to his broadcasting role, Myers is a prominent downtown Cumberland businessman and an active community member who helps organize local events. Myers has been with the Cumberland Broadcasting Company, which operates WCBC, since August 2019 and began his career in radio broadcasting at the age of 14 as a board engineer for WQOL in Florida. In 1998 he was promoted to Chief Engineer for WTTB 1490AM and WGYL 93.7FM. In 2001 Treasure Coast broadcasters purchased additional stations WOSN, WPAW and WGNX.

Former Frederick County Delegate Dan Cox filed Friday with the Maryland State Board of Elections for Maryland governor. Cox is one of four Republican candidates for governor listed on the state elections board website. The other three are John Myrick, Carl Brunner and Kurt Wedekind. Cox lists Rob Krop as his running mate. In 2022, Cox was endorsed by then-former President Donald Trump. Moore defeated Cox in the general election 65% to 32%.
