Revolutionaries Remembered Through Street Names

As the United States celebrates its 250th birthday this year, local historian Al Feldstein called in to WCBC Radio with interesting facts about city streets. Feldstein listed streets in the city, including Washington Street that are named for the people and places of the American Revolution through the War of 1812…
“Lee Street, Washington Street, Linn Street, Chase Street, Tighlman, Paca Street, Smallwood. Beall, Carroll, Saratoga, Schley. Adams, Johnson, Decatur Street. Lexington, I think Franklin Street is named after Ben Franklin, Knox Street, Pulaski, Independence, Harrison.
