Route 220 Motor Vehicle Collision

On February 16, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Conda Way (Route 220) in Rawlings, MD, for a reported motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a motorcycle operated by Shawn Erin Locket, 39, of Cumberland, MD, had crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle. Reports indicate that Mr. Locket’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision. Mr. Locket was transported from the scene by the Cumberland Fire Department Ambulance for medical treatment. The operator of the second vehicle, Justin Rose, 48, of Bedford, PA, was not injured. Route 220 was closed for approximately two hours while the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team investigated the scene. This matter remains under investigation.
