Second Annual College Fest planned in downtown Cumberland

Cumberland’s Downtown Development Commission is working with Frostburg State University and Allegany College of Maryland to host a Welcome Back College Fest on Thursday, August 27, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The event will wrap up with the final Levitt Amp Series concert at Canal Place starting at 7:00 PM. According to DDC Events Coordinator Becky McClarran, the goal is to introduce college students to everything Center City has to offer. Plans for the fest include DJ Rob Zembower at the Liberty Street Plaza, games, a scavenger hunt, and 100 gift bags promoting downtown businesses. FSU will also provide free transportation for its students.
