Secretary Day Responds to Federal Housing Program Cuts

New Continuum of Care program guidelines may result in $33 million dollars in cuts to Maryland’s allocation for housing the homeless, transitional housing and support projects. The federal government is cutting money in housing supports programs that Maryland Housing Secretary Jake Day says would result in a 34% spike in homelessness across the state, increasing evictions and cause over 1,000 disabled and elderly to lose their housing…
