Springdale Street Assault Arrest

On Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 400 block of Springdale St. for a report of an assault in progress. When officers arrived on the scene, they observed two females actively fighting. Officers separated the subjects and identified them as Elizabeth Mae Price, 42, of Cumberland MD, and Tonya Denise Orellana, 53, of Westernport MD. After interviewing the subjects and other witnesses, officers learned that Orellana had been walking in the area and entered Price’s residence without permission. A physical altercation ensued, continuing outside where officers observed the fight upon their arrival. Consequently, the police arrested both subjects. Orellana appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently held without bond. At the time of her arrest, Price also had an active warrant for her arrest in Washington County, MD, for violation of probation. At her Initial Appearance, Price was also remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, held without bond.

CHARGES – Burglary 3rd Degree, Assault 2nd, Affray.
