Staffing Issues Point To Culture, Pay

Maryland’s state corrections system is suffering under a staffing shortage that continues to put pressure on both corrections officers and inmates. Higher wages being offered at federal facilities and a variety of other things keep people from applying for positions, according to Maryland Senator Mike McKay.
