Jodi Eirich, director of the Allegany County Animal Shelter updated the County Commissioners on the happenings at the Furnace Street shelter.  Eirich said January was a successful month in fostering and adoptions that were actually helped with the winter storm that came through the area…

“We’ve had a big month.  This winter storm really helped us a lot.  We did the Winter Storm Foster campaign.  We got 27 dogs out into homes.  Twelve have been adopted already.  We’re looking for four to six more.  They’ve asked to extend the fostering.”
