Superintendent Wants Allegany County to Lead in Graduation Rates

Jim Zamagias has been with WCBC Radio since 1981. He has been a valuable member of the sports and news teams, even while completing his 45 year career as a teacher at Bishop Walsh. Now retired from teaching, Jim is the evening news voice for WCBC and occasionally hosts the Dave Norman Morning Show. His love of radio dates back to listening to Bob Prince and the Pittsburgh Pirates growing up.

Dr. Michael Martirano, superintendent of Allegany County Schools, was a guest on Friday’s Dave Norman Morning Show.  Dr. Martirano noted the importance of graduation rates for the county.  The superintendent said that high graduation rates mean success in college, professions, and life.
