Sylvan Avenue Assault Arrest

On May 1, 2026, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 800 block of Sylvan Avenue for a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported being assaulted by Jeremy Combs. Officers observed injuries consistent with the victim’s statement. Jeremy Combs was located at the scene, placed under arrest, and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently awaiting his initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
