Most of the offices on the ballot for upcoming elections have no one registered, but the office of Allegany County Sheriff now has three candidates vying for the position.  In addition to David Morgan and Rich Godlove, there is now Andrew Opel of Bel Air.  All three candidates are Republicans. Opel’s campaign website states he is a veteran of the global war on terror and is a certified police officer. Currently, he is the head of Common Ground Revival, a community advocacy group.
