Third Year for Allegany Gives

Starting at Noon today through Noon Thursday, Allegany College of Maryland will be having its annual Allegany Gives event. The 24-hour donation drive allows supporters of the college to give toward programs and scholarships for both the Cumberland and Bedford campuses. ACM Foundation Director Courtney Jensen tells WCBC the goal this year is $50,000 and directed giving is available…
“The ACM Athletic Fund, the ACM Pantry, the general scholarship fund, our Bedford campus, campus facilities, Continuing Ed and Workforce Development. Our unrestricted fund, which means the money goes where it’s needed most, and we actually have an option that people can choose ‘other,’ and write in an organization.”
Jensen said ACM President David Jones is heading up a Presidential Challenge…
“President David Jones is giving $20 per donor, up to 500 gifts, to help unlock $10,000 toward ACM students.”
