Tourism Brought Wills Hotel To Town

Bikers and hikers are continually traveling the GAP trail, often finishing their trips in Cumberland.  It was just such a trip that brought the Wills Hotel developers to town. Mayor Ray Morriss said because of tourism, they saw the city and wanted to invest in its growth…

“That’s the story behind Brian Gilbride and his brother and their other business partner. They came in on the GAP Trail about 10 years ago and just really thought this was a nice downtown area and when they realized we were going to be doing the renovation, they said well, now’s the time.”
