Tree Sponsorships Fund Landscaping Upkeep

After a successfully filling bench sponsor opportunities in Downtown Cumberland, Main Street Management has released new naming opportunities.  Now, 53 London Plane and Honey Locust trees along Baltimore and Liberty Streets, and the C-BIZ plaza can be commemorated for $500.  Main Street Manager Melinda Kelleher says sponsoring a tree funds upkeep of city landscaping…

“The company who planted the trees—who we purchased them from and who planted them originally—usually come down twice a year and they check on them and make sure they’re healthy, if they need trimming up, that kind of thing, and that’s what these kinds of funds will help pay for.”
