Trooper 5 In Action Over Holiday Weekend

A busy weekend for Maryland State Police Aviation crews as three separate aerial hoists were needed over the Fourth of July weekend.  Trooper 6 was called to Skipton Creek in Wye Mills to rescue stranded jet skiers in low water, Trooper 1 helped rescue two people at Big Gunpowder Falls after becoming stranded while tubing. Trooper 5 from Cumberland was called to Garrett County to rescue a person that fell near Muddy Creek Falls. A hoist maneuver lifted the injured person who was then flown to a local hospital for treatment.
