Van Hollen Says Reform Before Funding DHS

Democrats are listing at least ten reforms they want before agreeing to a funding bill for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. Reforms include requiring judicial warrants, making facemasks on officers illegal, and requiring body cameras.  Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen wants the reforms in place before any other DHS funding is approved…

“The Department of Homeland Security should be focused on what its job was originally and also to make sure that we rein in that have resulted in the death of American citizens protesting – exercising their first amendment rights. And yet they’re shot down in that process. That is unacceptable.”
