Variables in Flood Recovery Projects

Allegany County’s Department of Public Works is working through a list of projects needed in areas affected by the May 2025 flood. A list of 48 projects was presented to the county by the towns affected, exceeding by $300,000 the $11 million dollars earmarked by the state. “These are really good projects. I think we’re in a good situation with how the funding has played out, with the number of projects we have. But, depending upon what these answers are really will be key in how we move forward.”
