Vehicle and Operator Located in July 6 Pedestrian Fatality

Following an extensive investigation and with the assistance of the public, investigators have identified the vehicle and operator involved in the pedestrian crash that occurred on July 6th.  On July 16th, investigators from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and the Cumberland Police Department Crash Teams, assisted by C3I, located the vehicle and operator at a residence in Corriganville, Maryland. The vehicle has been seized for evidence recovery. Pending  consultation with the Office of the State’s Attorney, charges will be filed at a later date.
