Virginia Avenue Disorderly Conduct Arrests

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a business in the 400 Block of Virginia Avenue for the report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, Officers observed a vehicle quickly leaving the area with individuals pointing at the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and an investigation was completed. As a result, the driver, Nathaniel Gallion, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. The passenger, Christopher Helmase, was placed under arrest for the intoxicated disturbance. Gallion was released on citations pending his trial at the Allegany District Court. Helmase was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he awaits his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
